Senior Director Technology (Head of IT)

This is an exceptional not-to-be-missed opportunity to head the IT function of a medium-sized company.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for all aspects of the technology landscape. This role is responsible for both the “run” (management, maintenance, and security) and “build” (planning, implementation, and deployment) of IT systems that support and enable the company’s business growth. This role will be critical in building out a modern IT environment that supports the multiple business units across different geographies (besides Canada). This will include implementing a new ERP, reducing the reliance on home grown applications, and maintaining or increasing security. You will lead a small team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Hybrid role requiring 2-3 days /week presence in the office located in the vicinity of Kitchener-Waterloo area.

CANDIDATE SPEC

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional having at least 10 years progressive well-rounded experience of which at least 2 years as Head of IT, ideally in a manufacturing/engineering services company or manufacturing environment. Sound knowledge of Operations Technology will be an asset. You have a proven track record of leading technology operations, and transformation initiatives and ideally, rich experience leading enterprise-wide ERP projects. You have a sound understanding of enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, Azure/AWS experience, and digital platforms. You are an astute leader, great communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills. You have post-secondary education in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. Certifications in PMP, CISSP, CISM, or ITIL will be an asset.
