Sr. Executive/AM/Manager - Store & Purchase
Job Summary
A Store and Purchase Manager in a hotel is responsible for managing the procurement, storage, inventory control, and distribution of all materials needed for hotel operations. This includes food supplies, beverages, housekeeping items, engineering materials, guest amenities, uniforms, and office supplies.
Main Responsibilities
Purchasing / Procurement
- Identify and purchase required goods and materials
- Compare vendors and negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms
- Maintain relationships with suppliers
- Ensure timely purchasing to avoid shortages
- Prepare purchase orders and approvals
- Monitor market rates and quality standards
Store Management
- Receive and inspect incoming goods
- Maintain stock records and inventory systems
- Ensure proper storage conditions (especially food and perishables)
- Control stock issuance to departments
- Conduct regular physical inventory audits
- Avoid wastage, pilferage, and overstocking
Inventory Control
- Track minimum and maximum stock levels
- Coordinate with kitchen, housekeeping, engineering, and F&B departments
- Prepare stock consumption reports
- Monitor slow-moving and expired items
- Use inventory software/ERP systems
Financial & Compliance Duties
- Maintain cost control and budgeting
