NOW HIRING: Machine Operator – SMT (2nd Shift)

What You’ll Do

Take ownership of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment and help produce high-quality electronic assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate pick-and-place SMT machines with precision
• Verify solder paste application and load components (reels, trays, sticks)
• Perform manual component placement and pre-production board inspections
• Read and follow Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assembly drawings
• Conduct X-ray inspections on BGA components
• Inspect products before, during, and after production to ensure quality standards
• Monitor machines and processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Perform routine cleaning and light maintenance per SOPs
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve processes
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve production challenges
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of SMT or related manufacturing experience (or transferable skills)
• Ability to read basic instructions, diagrams, and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages)
• Team-oriented attitude with solid communication skills

Physical Requirements

• Stand for 8+ hours per shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, and manual dexterity
• Lift up to 25 lbs regularly; up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work safely around machinery and moving equipment
• Must wear required safety gear (including safety shoes)

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and warehouse setting
• Exposure to machinery, tools, forklifts, and pallet jacks
• Moderate noise levels depending on production activity
