Job Description
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Events & Distribution Associate with a strong background in Asset Management, Capital Markets, or Financial Services to support the delivery of large-scale client and advisor engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners — including sales, marketing, product, and compliance teams — to plan, execute, and optimize events that align with business objectives and drive client engagement.
This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who excels in fast-paced environments and is comfortable managing complex event programs, stakeholder relationships, and data-driven decision making within the financial services sector.
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days in office)
Contract Length: 16+ Months (Extension or FTE Conversion Possible)
Hours: 9 AM–5 PM EST
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale and small-scale distribution events (in-person, virtual, and hybrid) aligned to sales and marketing strategies.
- Manage the full lifecycle of the events program, including strategy, planning, implementation, and post-event analysis.
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, event calendars, and sales activity schedules across distribution channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Product, Investment, Compliance, Finance, and external vendors.
- Support development of event themes, agendas, speaker coordination, and marketing communications.
- Create and manage registration platforms, invitations, and event-related digital content.
- Oversee event logistics including venue management, vendor coordination, production, and on-site execution.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and budget tracking, including invoice reconciliation and audit controls.
- Track event performance metrics, conduct post-event evaluations, and develop reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Optimize event sequencing and program strategy to maximize return on investment and sales impact.
- Provide operational marketing expertise and decision support through analysis, insights, and recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of progressive experience in event management, project coordination, or marketing within financial services.
- Proven experience delivering initiatives in at least one of the following domains:
- Asset Management / Investment Management: Distribution events, advisor engagement, or investment product marketing.
- Capital Markets: Client events, product promotion, or sales enablement initiatives.
- Marketing & Communications: Event program management, content development, and campaign execution.
- Strong understanding of event lifecycle management, project planning, and stakeholder coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and event management tools such as Cvent, Formsite, and webinar platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach.
Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity across multiple priorities.

- Experience within asset management or investment industry environments.
- Knowledge of financial industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with external agencies, vendors, and enterprise cross-functional teams.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder influencing skills.
Education
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related discipline.
