Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Cinematographer role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Cinematographer will plan and execute video shoots for personal and eCom brands, working closely with producers and creators to translate concepts into effective visual stories. Daily tasks include setting up and operating cameras, configuring lighting setups, and selecting lenses and gear appropriate to each project. The role also involves collaborating on shot lists, framing, and composition, managing on-set equipment, and ensuring consistent visual quality across all content. The Cinematographer will follow brand guidelines, adapt quickly to different locations and schedules, and support a fast-paced production environment.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in Camera Operation and Cinematography, including framing, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Hands-on experience with Video Production and Film Production workflows, from pre-production planning to on-set execution.
- Proficiency in Lighting, including designing and adjusting setups for interviews, product shots, and lifestyle content.
- Familiarity with digital video formats, frame rates, and basic color concepts to ensure footage is post-production ready.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with creative, marketing, and production teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability with time management, and comfort working on tight timelines.
