Plate Roll Operator

Responsible for operating machinery to bend and form steel and other metal materials according to specifications and drawings. Ensures high-quality workmanship, accuracy, and adherence to safety and production standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate rolling machines to form and roll steel plates and metal materials to required dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine job specifications.
• Set up and adjust machinery as needed for each production run.
• Perform layout and marking of dimensions on plates and materials.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and maintain equipment in proper working condition.
• Safely operate lifting devices and assist with material handling when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Complete all required production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Perform machine cleaning and maintenance, including roll setup and adjustments.
• Operate beveling machines as needed.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor or safety committee.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a plant/manufacturing environment where temperatures vary with the seasons.
• Conditions may occasionally be noisy or dusty; PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is supplied and required at all times.
• Standard work hours: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Overtime may be required during peak production periods.
• The position requires standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
