Job Description (JD) – Junior Accountant

Position: Junior Accountant

Department: Accounts & Finance

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 2–3 Years

Qualification: B.Com/M.Com or relevant accounting qualification

CTC: As per company standards

Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records, bookkeeping, and ledger management.
• Prepare and record journal entries, vouchers, invoices, and other accounting transactions.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Process employee reimbursements and manage petty cash transactions.
• Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
• Maintain financial documents and ensure proper record keeping.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments for accounting-related matters.
• Prepare MIS reports and assist during internal and statutory audits.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in accounting principles, GST, and TDS.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP/Prime and Advanced MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Validation, and MIS reporting.
• Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Preferred

• Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance, taxation, and audit processes.

Note: Candidates with 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience and strong Advanced Excel skills will be preferred.
