We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer I to join our Air & Missile Defense Software Department in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. As a member of the Patriot Software Development Team, you will engage in technical challenges across various modern programming languages and computing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the requirements gathering, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software and application software.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
• Participate in the internal review process of software components and systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering professionals.
• Adhere to established development practices to ensure effective configuration management of software products.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
• Experience or education in software development.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with C++, C, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, and the software development life cycle.
• Experience working in a Unix/Linux operating system environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, along with the ability to create technical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM methodologies, DevOps practices, and test automation is a plus.

The salary range for this position is between 57,200 USD and 108,800 USD, based on various factors including experience.
