RATP Dev USA operates and maintains transportation systems across the United States, delivering safe, reliable, and innovative mobility solutions. Our Forestville, MD location supports transit operations serving Prince George's County and the surrounding region. We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support performance reporting, operational insights, and data-driven decision making.

Requirements

The Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret operational and financial data to support transit performance, service planning, safety initiatives, and executive reporting. This role partners closely with operations leadership, dispatch, maintenance, safety, and finance teams to ensure accurate data quality and actionable insights. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, validate, and maintain operational datasets from multiple sources (AVL, CAD/AVL, scheduling software, fare systems, safety logs, maintenance records).
• Develop recurring performance dashboards and reports (on-time performance, ridership, scheduling efficiency, operator performance, safety KPIs, etc.).
• Analyze service delivery trends, operational anomalies, and performance gaps to support continuous improvement.
• Work with local teams to improve data accuracy, reporting processes, and system integration.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly performance packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support bid proposals, budgeting, and service planning with accurate data modeling.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and provide recommendations based on data findings.
• Assist with ad-hoc analyses for operations, HR, maintenance, safety, and executive management.
• Maintain documentation of data sources, report definitions, and analytics procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company data governance, confidentiality, and reporting standards.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, Transportation, Computer Science, or a related field; OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of data analysis or reporting experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, dashboards).
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and summarize insights clearly.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or transit operations.
• Familiarity with systems such as Trapeze, Hastus, Swiftly, or similar scheduling/AVL platforms.
• Experience building automated reports using SQL, Python, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of KPI development and operational reporting methodologies.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Office-based role with regular interaction with operations teams.
• Occasional visits to operational facilities or on-site field observations may be required.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
