Data Analyst - Real Estate Insights and MS Excel

As a Real Estate Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for providing analytical and research resources for the real estate department and key stakeholders within the organization. Your role will involve creating and maintaining new and existing store trade areas, managing key databases for competitive analysis, and delivering demographic and market intelligence reports and mapping.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Collaborate with Real Estate Managers and Director to develop and execute a comprehensive market strategy.
• Participate in the strategic development of site selection criteria and conduct market research for Giant Eagle and Market District.
• Generate maps using GIS or similar software to analyze spatial data and provide insights for real estate decisions and special projects.
• Provide support for Real Estate Team Leadership by conducting demographic research, competitive analysis, and market opportunity data.
• Develop and update a database of key competitors, track new store openings, remodels, store closings, and other market changes.
• Work with internal partners to maintain real estate metrics for new opportunities and existing portfolio analysis.
• Monitor major demographic and market trends, and improve sales forecasting and financial modeling techniques.
• Analyze new store projects by preparing trade areas, developing sales forecasts, and utilizing predictive and statistical forecasting software.
• Implement strategic and tactical initiatives related to real estate functions within the company.
• Support other company areas by completing cross-functional, ad hoc projects that align with the company's strategic objectives.
• *Qualifications Required:**
• 3 to 5 years of experience in real estate analysis.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel and Powerpoint.
• *Desired Experience:**
• Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS).
• *Desired Education:**
