Security Solutions Architect | Strategic IT Planning

The Role
As the Security Solutions Architect, you will move beyond strict operations to lead the technical vision. You will be responsible for designing secure, scalable architectures that protect enterprise systems and data. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical execution—evaluating vendors, architecting cloud guardrails, and defining the security roadmap.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Architectural Strategy: Design and implement end-to-end security architectures for networks, servers, endpoints, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- Strategic Roadmapping: Define security reference architectures and multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with risk and compliance.
- Cloud Governance: Architect secure cloud solutions and "policy-as-code" guardrails to ensure scalability and resilience.
- Technical Leadership: Lead security initiatives from concept to delivery, acting as the primary advisor for infrastructure and development teams.
- Threat Modeling: Conduct deep-dive risk assessments and design reviews to ensure all new systems meet "Zero Trust" and enterprise standards.
- Automation & Integration: Oversee the integration of new security tools into the CI/CD pipeline to improve operational efficiency.
Must Haves
- Experience: 5–7+ years in Security Architecture, Cloud Security, or Senior Infrastructure roles.
- Cloud Proficiency: Strong expertise in Azure (preferred) or AWS security controls and identity management.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to translate complex business needs into secure technical designs.
- Knowledge Base: Deep understanding of frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and Zero Trust.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Nice to Haves
- Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Ops Background: Previous experience in security operations (SOC, Incident Response) to better inform architectural decisions.
- Automation: Experience with security automation and monitoring tools.
Compensation & Perks
- Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 base (depending on experience).
