Role Summary

We are seeking a transformational IT Manager to lead a dedicated team of 15 IT professionals. This isn't just a "keep the lights on" role; our client is looking for a true leader who can inspire their team while ensuring the IT department delivers top-tier business solutions. You will be the bridge between technical infrastructure and manufacturing operations, acting as a change agent to evolve the company's digital landscape.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, develop, and inspire a team of 15 direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Strategic Delivery: Support and execute strategic plans for implementing information technologies that align with manufacturing needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee resource management to ensure production uptime and meet cross-functional priorities.
  • Compliance & Security: Manage SOX compliance, internal audits, and cyber security protocols.
  • Business Continuity: Develop, test, and maintain robust disaster recovery plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Reporting: Deliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly business reporting to executive leadership.
  • Process Improvement: Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives and envision creative solutions for complex business challenges.

Must Haves

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven IT Management experience.
  • Industry: Significant experience within a Manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is highly preferred).
  • Education: University or College Degree/Diploma, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Cyber Security, Network Infrastructure, and Custom Software Development.
  • Systems: Experience with ERP systems, specifically AS400 and SAP.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, project management, and "outside the box" problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work extended hours when required to meet project or production deadlines.

Nice to Haves

  • Direct experience in the Automotive manufacturing tier-supply chain.
  • Familiarity or exposure to AI and Machine Learning applications within a production environment.
  • Proven track record as a "Change Agent" in evolving legacy IT cultures.

Compensation & Work Model

  • Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per annum (commensurate with experience).
  • Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus package.
  • Work Model: Onsite – 5 days per week in Guelph, Ontario.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive corporate benefits package.
