Role Overview

As an Applications Developer, you will play a pivotal role in a small, agile team. While this position is heavily weighted toward front-end development—focusing on creating high-performance, modern user interfaces—our lean team structure requires a true "utility player." You must have the technical depth and willingness to dive into the back end, managing APIs and database structures to ensure end-to-end functionality.

Main Responsibilities

• Front-End Leadership: Lead the development of intuitive, responsive web interfaces, ensuring a premium user experience across all devices.
• Full-Stack Execution: Develop and maintain efficient, scalable applications; while the UI is a priority, you will be expected to build the server-side logic that powers it.
• API & Database Design: Architect and implement server-side APIs and database structures (SQL Server) to support front-end requirements.
• Code Quality & Documentation: Write clean, modular code and maintain thorough documentation to support team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
• Performance Optimization: Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure seamless delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices, sharing knowledge and contributing to technical architecture discussions.
• Deployment: Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications on production servers within an Azure ecosystem.

Must-Haves

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Front-End Expertise: Advanced, "expert-level" skillset in React.js, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS.
• Back-End Capability: Strong programming proficiency in C# and .NET Core with the ability to manage the full application lifecycle.
• Data & API: Extensive experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, Indexing, Performance Tuning) and RESTful API design principles.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Azure (Entra, Logic Apps, Data Factory) and IaC tools like Bicep or Terraform.
• DevOps: Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and Git version control.
• Small Team Mindset: A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and pivot between front-end and back-end tasks as needed.

Nice to Haves

• Direct experience working within a Manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with MS Dynamics GP.
• Technical experience with Foy Systems EPICS.
• Experience with SmartConnect, JSReports, or EntityFramework.

Position Details

• Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 per annum (based on experience).
• Work Model: Onsite (5 days per week).
• Location: Mississauga, ON.
