Backend Developer, .NET with Angular (Contract Position)

Contract position, 6 months initial contract, 2 openings. Must be eligible to work in Canada. Mostly remote with needs‑based site visit.

Overview

Full Stack skills – .NET, Angular, SQL, Azure. Emphasis on C#, .NET Core, and .NET Framework, WCF, web API, xUnit Test, Entity Framework Core.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain enterprise web applications, design and implement web APIs, refactor legacy code, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure high quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years in Asp.NET C# programming and two (2) years in Asp.NET Core C# programming.
• Minimum seven (7) years SQL Server/database development experience.
• Minimum two (2) years in Angular 8+ and TypeScript.
• Minimum two (2) years in Microsoft MVC framework and Entity Framework.
• Minimum two (2) years experience with Web APIs.
• Experience with large‑scale, n‑tier application.
• Experience with common design patterns and best practices across all architecture tiers.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T‑SQL programming.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Passionate about next‑generation technologies and love to code.
• Advanced lifecycle management with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Strong written, oral, and visual communication skills.
• Proactive communication style, ability to question, clarify, and document.
• Strong analysis skills and ability to synthesize multiple perspectives.
• Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
• Self‑starter with desire to learn and require minimal supervision.

Preferred

• Experience in messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Azure Messaging).
• Experience with Asp.NET Core 2.0, .NET 5.0.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core 2.0+.
• Experience with Azure.
• Experience with TDD or BDD.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (Windows Azure).
• Understanding of DevOps basic principles.

Salary

Toronto, Ontario, Canada CA$130,000.00‑CA$157,000.00.
