Job description

Our client, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst - IT III specializing in GRC technologies to support the delivery of enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions on the Archer SaaS platform.

In this professional consulting role, you will act as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical engineering teams. Your mission is to ensure that complex corporate risk and compliance requirements are clearly defined, analyzed, and translated into scalable, compliant solutions. This position requires a strong dual focus on functional requirements gathering and comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) testing, ensuring that configurations align directly with enterprise risk and regulatory objectives.

Responsibilities

Requirements Elicitation & Solution Mapping

Stakeholder Engagement: Elicit, analyze, prioritize, and document clear business and technical requirements by facilitating targeted workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions.

Functional Translation: Translate raw business needs into actionable user stories, detailed functional specification documents (FSDs), process flowcharts, and underlying data models optimized for Archer platform capabilities.

Application Design Support: Collaborate with platform configurators to design advanced Archer workflows, risk questionnaires, relational reporting views, and data ingestion mappings.

Quality Assurance (QA) & Delivery Governance

Test Case Architecture: Author, review, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and script scenarios based directly on validated business acceptance criteria.

Testing Execution: Support and lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, logging and tracking functional defects through to successful resolution.

Agile Integration: Actively contribute to standard Agile delivery rhythms, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and secure release coordination.

Artifact Maintenance: Manage high-fidelity project documentation throughout the software lifecycle, maintaining Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), data mapping schemas, user training guides, and auditable test results.

Qualifications

Experience: 3 to 7+ years of dedicated professional experience operating as an IT Business Analyst, specifically focused on Archer platforms.

Archer Evolv Familiarity: Direct exposure to, or practical familiarity with, the Archer Evolv platform architecture.

Risk & Compliance Literacy: Solid foundational understanding of institutional risk management, third-party vetting, compliance tracking, or internal audit methodologies.

Quality Assurance Competency: Proven hands-on experience in core QA activities, including test planning, test case formulation, defect triage, and automated/manual UAT support.

Methodology Alignment: Practical experience working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid Waterfall software delivery lifecycles.

Soft Skills: Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal), with a proven capacity to manage expectations across business lines and engineering groups.

Preferred Qualifications / Assets

Hands-on configuration or analytical experience with core Archer use cases: Operational Risk, IT Security Risk, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), and Audit Management.

Technical familiarity with enterprise system integrations, including REST APIs, ETL data streams, and structural data mapping.

Awareness of major regulatory frameworks and guidelines (e.g., SOX, OSFI, ISO 27001, GDPR).

Relevant industry certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or formal Archer technical certifications.
