Job description

Ramar Moving Systems, an Agent for United Van Lines, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator. A minimum of 2 years moving/storage industry experience is required.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Windows, etc.)
• Prior logistics experience / transportation knowledge required
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Able to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
• Must be detail oriented

Duties

• Fielding phone calls and facilitating communication between the customer, sales and operations
• Coordinate pricing, registration and transportation with the customer to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
• Preparation and coordination to prevent transportation crisis
• Respond to customer inquires
• Review purchase orders and ensure accurate billing is documented so the customer receives accurate invoices.
• Email Bills of Lading to the customer as needed
• Tracking shipments and forecasting possible issues/delays
• Make special shipping arrangements as necessary
• Pre-call shipping assignments when required and post delivery follow up with the customer.
• Providing pricing to sales/customers
• Maintain site of all orders to ensure timely van assignments are obtained
• Coordinate between Operations and Sales to establish a hauler
• Provide professional and positive communication both verbally and written to staff, coworkers, customers, fellow agents and Home Office
• Oversee projects / warehousing of projects
• Problem solve in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality control
• Other duties as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
