Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst, Internal Reporting

Role Overview:

As a Finance Reporting Systems Specialist at Ralph Lauren Corporation in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, your primary responsibility is to maintain and enhance all finance reporting systems across APAC to ensure reporting consistency and system integrity. Your role is critical in upholding the quality and timeliness of financial and operational analysis & reporting to the Asia Leadership team. You will collaborate with the Global Management Reporting team on planning activities, reporting standardization, and system enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain reporting systems (AX, Essbase & FCCS) including system improvement, scripts optimization, access control, master data & alternate hierarchy maintenance
• Understand Financial Reporting processes such as Closing, Forecasting, and Budgeting
• Investigate and create opportunities for reporting automation and more efficient preparation & delivery
• Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure alignment of financial results across reporting systems within closing timelines
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and integrity of information in systems, enabling a single source of truth
• Provide training to APAC Essbase user community and understand business requirements to suggest appropriate technical solutions
• Work closely with the FP&A Team to resolve system issues and provide technical support
• Handle other ad-hoc tasks as required

Qualifications Required:

• In-depth knowledge of Essbase (OAC) including the ability to decode, understand, build, and enhance Calc/MaxL Scripts
• Understanding of Essbase concepts, calculation methods, dimensions, and their usage
• Proficiency in Performance enhancing methods for scripts in Essbase
• Knowledge of Security in Essbase (IDCS) and data flow from other systems to Essbase
• Understanding of Financial and Technical Hierarchies
• Basic knowledge of FCC is a plus
• Proficiency in Excel with medium to advanced skill set, Macros/VBA Experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering with 3+ years of related experience
• Strong team player, self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Detail-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Financial Systems (Essbase, AX & FCCS)
• Fluent in English and previous retail or fashion industry experience is advantageous
