Role Overview

Qatar Airways is hiring an Aircraft Mechanic for the Paint Shop workshop in Doha. In this role, you will carry out assigned maintenance and rectification work according to approved technical instructions, company standards, and established procedures. The position calls for strict attention to quality, safety, productivity, and time-bound delivery in a fast-paced technical environment.

Key Duties

  • Complete allocated tasks efficiently and ensure the work delivered meets customer expectations.
  • Use the required tools and equipment for the paint shop area to meet task deadlines.
  • Interpret routine technical information and keep work progressing smoothly with minimal supervision under normal operating conditions.
  • Maintain productivity expectations while working within defined work methods and timeframes.
  • Support additional departmental tasks as assigned by the department head.

  • Ensure aircraft component rectification work is completed promptly and in line with QCAA/EASA Part-145 requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school, vocational, or diploma qualification, or an equivalent credential, with at least 3 years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of certifying experience.
  • Diploma, degree, or license in aircraft maintenance, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Basic ICAO Type II license.
  • Trade-related certificates.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a similar technical field.
  • Trade-related refresher training.
  • Recognized aeronautical or technical training certificates.
  • Practical capability in the work area, or 1 year of experience in a comparable workshop within a recognized airline.
