Job Description

As a Finance & Accounting professional at Qualcomm India Private Limited, your role will involve managing and performing US GAAP general accounting activities. You will be responsible for preparing and properly recording standard entries, as well as performing activities required for month-end closing, such as preparing and posting journal entries, conducting GL analysis, TB review, relevant reporting activities, variance analysis, and providing ad-hoc support as needed. Ensuring the accuracy of revenue and cost in the general ledger will be a key part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and maintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy of revenue and cost
  • Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliation according to Qualcomm Policies
  • Act as a subject matter expert in analyzing and performing Cost accounting activities
  • Provide ad hoc reports to HQ, local controllership team, and other finance functions
  • Offer recommendations for improvements in the general ledger system by researching and assessing standardized workflow procedures and policies
  • Support the local controllership team in external annual audits by providing timely and appropriate financial data and supporting documentation
  • Ensure compliance of all processes and policies with Internal Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager

Qualifications Required:

  • Accounting experience in a multi-GAAP environment and shared service center
  • Exposure to working in an ERP instance, preferably Oracle
  • Excellent written and verbal fluency in English
  • Ability to learn and understand standards and processes quickly and adhere to them accurately
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Flexible approach with a strong team spirit
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a highly professional style
  • Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
  • Numerate with a good eye for detail
  • Proficient IT skills including Excel and Outlook
