<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Highly Specialist Speech &amp; Language Therapist – Dysphagia, Complex Needs &amp; AAC</p> <p><strong>Banding:</strong> Band 7</p> <p><strong>Department:</strong> Speech &amp; Language Therapy Service</p> <p><strong>Contract Type:</strong> Locum</p> <p><strong>Working Pattern:</strong> Monday–Friday</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p> <p>Pulse is recruiting a Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech &amp; Language Therapist to join a dynamic and supportive Speech &amp; Language Therapy service. This role focuses on delivering expert assessment and intervention for adults with dysphagia, complex communication needs, and AAC requirements.</p> <p>You will work as an autonomous clinician, providing specialist input across a range of clinical presentations and contributing to MDT pathways that support individuals with long‑term, progressive, and complex conditions.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide highly specialist assessment and intervention for adults with dysphagia, complex communication needs, and AAC</li> <li>Lead on complex case management and clinical decision‑making</li> <li>Support MDT colleagues across acute, community, and specialist settings</li> <li>Contribute to service development and pathway improvement</li> <li>Provide clinical supervision to junior staff and assistants</li> <li>Maintain accurate, high‑quality clinical documentation</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>HCPC‑registered Speech &amp; Language Therapist</li> <li>Significant experience working with <strong>dysphagia</strong>, <strong>complex needs</strong>, and <strong>AAC</strong></li> <li>Ability to work independently at a highly specialist level</li> <li>Strong MDT communication and leadership skills</li> <li>Experience supervising junior clinicians (desirable)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Pulse?</strong></p> <p>Pulse offers a specialist, personalised recruitment experience.
