Job description

Job Title: RNLD – Learning Disabilities
Band: 6
Location: New Malden, Surrey
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 RNLD to join a specialist learning disabilities service in New Malden, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs in a compassionate and person-centred environment. The role is available on a locum basis with an immediate start and offers competitive rates.

What will your responsibilities be?

As a Band 6 RNLD, you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with learning disabilities. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans tailored to each individual’s needs. You will also support the delivery of therapeutic interventions, contribute to risk assessments, and work collaboratively with families, carers, and the wider clinical team to promote independence and well-being.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • NMC registration as a Registered Nurse – Learning Disabilities (RNLD) 
  • Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience 
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs 
  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
  • Excellent communication and teamworking abilities
  • Commitment to multidisciplinary working and patient-centred care
