<p><strong>Solution Architect – Telecom Infrastructure (Presales)</strong></p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Mohali<br><strong>Function:</strong> Presales / Engineering<br><strong>Shift:</strong> 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM IST (US-aligned shift), 5 days/week</p> <p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <p>Pearce Services is seeking a <strong>Pre-Sales Engineer – Solutioning / Solution Architect</strong> to lead technical solution development for telecom infrastructure opportunities across <strong>wireless, wireline/fiber, cable TV, and network/ISP services</strong>.</p> <p>This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on converting customer requirements into <strong>technically sound, delivery-feasible, and commercially competitive solutions</strong>. The role sits at the intersection of <strong>Sales, Pricing, and Operations</strong>, ensuring proposed solutions are both winnable and executable.</p> <p>You will be responsible for interpreting RFP/RFQ requirements, shaping solution approaches, defining scope and assumptions, supporting pricing inputs, and validating feasibility with delivery teams.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>1) Technical Solution Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review <strong>RFPs, RFQs, SOWs, and customer requirements</strong> to develop compliant and delivery-ready technical solutions</li> <li>Design solution approaches across:</li> <ul> <li><strong>Wireless / Cell Site Services:</strong> tower, line &amp; antenna, microwave, power systems, site engineering</li> <li><strong>Wireline / Fiber / OSP:</strong> fiber networks, remote terminals, cross-connects, outside plant infrastructure</li> <li><strong>Cable TV and Network / ISP Infrastructure</strong></li> </ul> <li>Conduct technical discovery to clarify scope, site conditions, dependencies, and customer constraints</li> <li>Develop technical methodologies, execution approaches, resource plans, and delivery timelines</li> <li>Prepare <strong>BOMs, equipment requirements, labor estimates, and high-level resourcing models</strong></li> <li>Identify technical risks, assumptions, dependencies, and exclusions, and define mitigation strategies</li> </ul> <p><strong>2) SOW and Proposal Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define scope boundaries, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and assumptions for customer-facing <strong>Statements of Work (SOWs)</strong></li> <li>Draft technical narratives, solution descriptions, and methodology sections for proposals</li> <li>Review customer-provided SOWs and bid documents to identify <strong>gaps, ambiguities, feasibility concerns, and commercial risk areas</strong></li> <li>Partner with the <strong>Pricing / Commercial team</strong> to provide effort estimates, staffing assumptions, productivity logic, and key cost drivers</li> </ul> <p><strong>3) Technical Validation and Feasibility</strong></p> <ul> <li>Validate proposed solutions against internal delivery capability, resource availability, tools, and operational readiness</li> <li>Collaborate with <strong>Operations, Delivery, and Field Engineering</strong> teams to ensure execution feasibility</li> <li>Participate in internal technical reviews and bid governance as the solution owner</li> <li>Support <strong>PoC / pilot solution design and execution</strong> when required by the client</li> </ul> <p><strong>4) Solution Excellence and Continuous Improvement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Capture lessons learned from <strong>won/lost bids</strong> and feed them back into future solution development</li> <li>Build and maintain reusable <strong>solution templates, reference architectures, estimation models, and technical content libraries</strong></li> <li>Continuously track telecom infrastructure trends, including <strong>5G deployment, fiber expansion, small cells, network modernization, and broadband growth</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>8-15 years</strong> of experience in telecom infrastructure engineering or technical solutioning</li> <li>Hands-on experience in at least <strong>two or more</strong> of the following domains:</li> <ul> <li>Wireless / cell site services</li> <li>Wireline / fiber / OSP</li> <li>Cable TV</li> <li>Network / ISP infrastructure</li> </ul> <li>Proven ability to translate customer requirements into structured technical solutions for service delivery organizations</li> <li>Prior experience in <strong>presales, bid support, proposal engineering, or solution architecture</strong> is strongly preferred</li> <li>Exposure to <strong>US telecom carriers or cable operators</strong> such as <strong>AT&amp;T, Verizon, T-Mobile</strong>, or major cable/MSO environments is required</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of <strong>wireline / fiber infrastructure</strong>, including:</li> <ul> <li>Fiber optic networks</li> <li>OSP design principles</li> <li>Remote terminals</li> <li>Cross-connect systems</li> </ul> <li>Added Advantage Strong understanding of <strong>cell site architecture and telecom engineering workflows</strong>, including:</li> <ul> <li>Tower structures</li> <li>Antenna systems</li> <li>Microwave systems</li> <li>RF-related infrastructure</li> <li>Power systems such as generators, batteries, and DC plants</li> </ul> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Ability to develop <strong>BOMs, labor estimates, resource plans, and technical assumptions</strong> from bid/RFP documentation</li> <li>Familiarity with telecom construction, deployment, maintenance, and field execution workflows</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Core Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and customer-ready solution content</li> <li>Structured problem-solving and analytical thinking</li> <li>Ability to break down complex scopes into logical work packages and solution components</li> <li>Strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Pricing, Operations, and Delivery teams</li> <li>Comfortable working with incomplete inputs, tight deadlines, and evolving customer requirements</li> <li>Proactive in identifying solution gaps, delivery risks, and scope ambiguities early in the bid cycle</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop a strong understanding of Pearce Services’ service lines, delivery models, tools, and solutioning standards</li> <li>Shadow active opportunities to learn bid workflows, internal stakeholders, and customer expectations</li> <li>Independently support solutioning for smaller or less complex opportunities under guidance</li> <li>Begin organizing and improving the technical content repository using existing solution material, assumptions, and reference data</li> <li>Build working relationships with Pricing, Operations, Delivery, and leadership teams to strengthen bid collaboration</li> </ul>
