Job Description

Role Overview:

As a Senior Manager, Inside Account Management at Progress, you will be responsible for managing a team of 8 people in India, handling the full employee life cycle from hiring to offboarding, and collaborating with the Regional Director. Your main focus will be on driving revenue growth from existing customers, managing renewal accounts, identifying upsell opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders from various business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People management/Leadership:
  • Lead a team through the full employee life cycle, including hiring, training, coaching, and offboarding
  • Train and develop account managers to enhance their productivity and operational efficiency
  • Meet revenue targets by effectively managing Account Managers focused on customer retention and expansion
  • Recruit, set objectives, coach, and monitor the performance of Inside Account Managers
  • Ensure the team's alignment with Progress culture and hold them accountable for revenue goals
  • Sales/Business Operations:
  • Understand the data and drivers of the business to maintain a reliable forecast
  • Enhance customer knowledge and relationships through complete CRM account information
  • Identify market shifts, new products, and competition status
  • Focus on reducing churn and increasing product usage
  • Prioritize opportunities across a diverse product portfolio
  • Engage in discovery conversations to drive successful upsells, cross-sells, and referrals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product awareness

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience in Sales, Customer Service, or Account management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a mid-sized team effectively
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities
  • Understanding of key metrics for operational excellence in sales or customer service
  • Capability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and assess sales opportunities
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Must be willing to work in the US time zone (6:30 PM IST - 3:30 AM IST)
