Senior DevOps Engineer

A leading nonprofit is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer in Alexandria, VA for a full time position, onsite 2 days a week.

Senior DevOps Engineer Requirements:

• US Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain Secret clearance in IL4 DoD environments
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of DevSecOps experience in regulated enterprise environments
• 5+ years building secure CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins
• 3+ years Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred) and 2+ years AWS experience
• Expert proficiency with Docker, ELK Stack, F5 load balancing, Nexus, and deep knowledge of DoD/FedRAMP, NIST, and ATO processes

Senior DevOps Engineer Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security scanning and compliance validation
• Manage GitLab repositories, release processes, configuration control, and secrets management aligned with ATO requirements
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems using ELK Stack, perform root cause analysis, and drive reliability improvements
• Harden Docker configurations, manage F5 load balancing automation, and resolve JVM performance issues
• Lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives and support AWS cloud modernization efforts including containerization and EKS transitions
