Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic, versatile, and high-energy Multimedia Journalist & Field Reporter to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate is a storyteller who thrives both in front of the camera during field reporting and behind the scenes in content creation. You should be equally comfortable navigating a breaking news scene and conducting high-profile studio interviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Field & Indoor Reporting: Lead on-ground coverage of breaking news, legislative developments, and public interest stories.
Web News Management: Take full ownership of the web news portal, including writing, editing, and publishing real-time news updates.
Digital Content Creation: Script and produce high-quality video content, ensuring all stories are optimized for SEO and social media reach.
Interviews: Conduct professional interviews with public figures and handle interactive sessions with the community.
Multi-Platform Integration: Coordinate news flow between field reports, studio segments, and the digital web desk.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Post-Graduate (PG) degree in Journalism or Mass Communication.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in field reporting or digital newsrooms.
Linguistic Proficiency: High-level fluency in Malayalam, English, and Hindi.
Web Proficiency: Strong experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and digital publishing workflows.
Technical Skills: Ability to craft "click-worthy" headlines and metadata for maximum digital engagement.
Excellent public interaction skills and a confident on-screen presence.
Ability to translate complex geopolitical or administrative topics into engaging content for a diverse audience.
