Nurse Practitioner- Texas Pelvic Health & Wellness Center
Privia HealthJob Description
Location: Primarily on the Woman’s Hospital of Texas campus in Houston, TX, and two Fridays a month at the Woodlands location.
We are a specialized practice dedicated to comprehensive women’s health, urogynecology, and wellness. We are seeking a highly motivated, professional, and reliable Nurse Practitioner who is genuinely looking for a hybrid practice. This position requires a meaningful, ongoing split between surgical first-assisting and clinical patient care. This is not a role for someone who wants to focus exclusively on surgery or exclusively on clinic; the ideal candidate is energized by the variety of moving between the operating room and the exam room.
We provide a thorough, stepwise training process for the right individual. While prior urogynecology or surgical experience is a plus, your willingness to learn, your coachability, and your commitment to our practice’s standard of care are the most important factors.
Essential Job Duties:
Perform duties as a surgical first-assistant, including perioperative preparation and assisting during procedures.
Manage a diverse patient panel for routine gynecological and annual care, urogynecology, female urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and fecal incontinence.
Provide postoperative care and manage general clinical follow-ups.
Administer hormone replacement therapy (including injectable pellet therapy) for both women and men.
Participate in and help grow our practice’s wellness services, including weight management, supplements, and aesthetic offerings.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records in Athena; all clinical notes must be completed within 24 to 48 hours.
Assist with hospital rounding when necessary and support patient communication via phone or messaging.
Work closely with the medical team to ensure continuity of care, including timely communication of laboratory results, diagnostic findings, and treatment adjustments to the lead physician.
Active Texas APRN license (must be currently in place).
Genuine interest in a combined, full-time surgery and clinic role.
Willingness to first-assist in surgery and grow into the surgical side of the position.
Willingness to learn and provide hormone replacement therapy, including injectable pellet therapy, for both men and women.
Willingness to participate in all wellness and aesthetic components of the practice.
Strong patient-facing communication skills, professional maturity, and reliability.
Familiarity with Athena EMR (preferred).
Active Texas DEA registration (preferred).
All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
