Position Summary
We are seeking reliable and professional Security Officers to perform foot patrol duties at a shopping center. This is a customer-facing position that requires vigilance, responsiveness, and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot patrols to deter, detect, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
- Check in frequently with property tenants to ensure safety and address concerns.
- Respond swiftly to alarms and emergencies in accordance with site protocols.
- Enforce property rules and security procedures.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Maintain a detailed Daily Activity Report using a company-provided cell phone.
- Submit incident reports and maintenance requests as needed.
Requirements
- Active Virginia DCJS Unarmed Security Registration (must be valid at the time of interview).
- Previous security experience preferred but not required.
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
- Physically capable of walking and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must have a working email address and cell phone.
