About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join a fast-paced Managed Services team supporting a diverse client base. This position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in enterprise network infrastructure and network security, paired with a strong service mindset and a commitment to operational excellence.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering network implementation projects, maintaining and optimizing client environments, and supporting escalated technical issues. You will work closely with internal technical teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure reliable service delivery, strong security posture, and high customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, comfortable working in a multi-client environment, and able to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and network security appliances
- Perform day-to-day support activities including upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and policy tuning
- Monitor and respond to network security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities
- Conduct network assessments and provide recommendations for optimization and improvement
- Work directly with clients to gather business and technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including configurations, procedures, and network diagrams
- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for escalated network and security issues
- Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours maintenance activities when required
- Respond to urgent escalations with a strong sense of priority and accountability
- Contribute to process improvement and operational standardization across client environments
Required Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise firewall and network security environments
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with next-generation firewall platforms and centralized management tools
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, and VPNs
- Experience with firewall rule administration, UTM features, IPS/IDS, and security policy management
- Familiarity with centralized monitoring, logging, and management platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills across complex network and security environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong documentation habits and ability to produce clean technical records
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and work effectively in a high-demand environment
- Experience working in an MSP, managed services, or multi-tenant environment is strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as SonicWall CSSA/CSSP would be an asset
- Fortinet NSE 4, 5, 6, or 7 certifications would be a strong asset
- Experience with Aruba LAN and ClearPass would be considered an asset
- Experience with other security platforms such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or WatchGuard would be an asset
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as Python or PowerShell is a bonus
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, and cloud-based networking/security environments
- Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks such as ITIL and operational best practices
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor and SolarWinds
- Proven experience with escalation management, process improvement, and operational maturity
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $35.00-$37.00 per hour
