Job Duties
- Logistics Preparation: Sorting, hoisting, and shifting moderate to heavy quantities of mail and packages to prepare for distribution and dispatch.
- Administrative Accuracy: Verify delivery addresses, maintain accurate records, and ensure the security and confidentiality of all mail items.
- Collection & Processing: Assist in the retrieval or collection of mail from customers and process outgoing items according to postal regulations.
- Financial Tasks: Retrieve dues for postage charges on delivery or other applicable services as required by the specific support role.
- Facility Environment: Fulfill responsibilities indoors and occasionally outdoors, handling all weather types and adhering to strict USPS safety policies and schedules.
Requirements
- Eligibility: Minimum of 18 years old (or 16 years old with a high school diploma).
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or citizen of a U.S. territory.
- Physical Ability: Capable of carrying moderate to heavy loads (up to 70 lbs) and standing or walking for significant distances daily.
- Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
