Role Overview:
Posha (formerly Nymble) is seeking a Finance Associate to join their fast-growing team. As a Finance Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, taxation, financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivables, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and vendor payments.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Track actuals against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Indian tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Assist in filing tax returns and managing audits.
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per Indian accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data to support decision-making and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance financial workflows.
- Implement and improve financial systems to scale operations efficiently.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in startups or small businesses in India.
- Knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and organizational abilities.
