Truva - Finance Lead - Startup

About Truva:

Truva is a fast growing proptech startup founded by IIT & Stanford alumni, redefining how real estate transactions and services are delivered in India. We are building for scale, speed, and transparency, and are looking for a Finance Lead who can partner in this journey.

Role Overview:

Were looking for a high-ownership Finance Lead to build and scale the finance function at Truva. This role will work closely with founders and business teams, driving financial discipline, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable (AP) & Receivable (AR)

• Own end-to-end AP/AR processes
• Ensure timely collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations
• Improve cash flow cycles and working capital efficiency

2. Investment & Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and external stakeholders
• Support fundraising, due diligence, and reporting requirements

3. Payroll & Compliance

• Oversee payroll processing and statutory compliance
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and audit readiness

4. MIS & Reporting

• Build and own MIS, dashboards, and financial reporting
• Deliver actionable insights to leadership on business performance

5. Automation & Systems

• Drive automation across finance operations (AP/AR, reporting, payroll)
• Implement scalable tools and processes to reduce manual dependency

6. Finance Operations (FinOps)

• Strengthen financial controls, processes, and governance
• Optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency

7. Business Finance

• Partner with business teams on budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making
• Evaluate new initiatives, pricing strategies, and unit economics

What Were Looking For:

• 3-7 years of experience in finance roles (startup experience preferred)
• Strong exposure to AP, AR, MIS, and business finance
• Experience working in high-growth startup environments
• Hands-on mindset with ability to build from scratch
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• CA / MBA (Finance) preferred
