Subjects We're Actively Recruiting For
- Mathematics: From fundamental numeracy and arithmetic through algebra, geometry, and advanced calculus
- Chemistry: Foundational science concepts to advanced Grade 11/12 and university-preparatory coursework
- Physics: Introductory STEM concepts to Grade 11/12 mechanics, electricity, and modern physics topics
- Biology: Life sciences, human anatomy, genetics, and cellular biology
- General Science: Integrated science instruction for elementary and middle school learners
What You'll Do
- Craft Personalized Lessons: Design and deliver one-on-one instruction that addresses each student's unique learning style, academic level, and goals
- Diagnose & Bridge Gaps: Identify knowledge gaps quickly and develop targeted strategies to close them using creative, evidence-based approaches
- Master Virtual Facilitation: Lead engaging online sessions using Zoom, interactive whiteboards, simulations, and digital tools to bring abstract concepts to life
- Monitor & Guide Progress: Track student advancement through detailed feedback, actionable insights, and regular performance reviews
- Align with Ontario Standards: Deliver instruction consistent with the Ontario Curriculum while maintaining flexibility for individual learner needs
Who We're Looking For
- Subject Matter Expert: Bachelor's degree in your teaching subject (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Science, Education, Engineering, or related STEM/Humanities field)
- Versatile Educator: Comfortable teaching across grade levels from Grade 3 through Grade 12; experience with mixed-age or multi-level instruction a plus
- Dynamic Presence: Natural ability to connect with students on camera—you make challenging material feel accessible and exciting
- Tech-Forward: Comfortable with video conferencing platforms, digital tools, and troubleshooting common technical issues
- Student-Centered: Flexible scheduling to meet learners' needs, including evening and weekend availability
