The Opportunity
We're seeking dedicated math tutors to join our growing educator network. In this fully remote position, you'll provide personalized instruction to students ranging from Grade 3 through Grade 12, including advanced university-prep courses. If you love making math accessible and building student confidence through screen-based learning, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Personalized Lesson Planning: Design and deliver customized math instruction tailored to each student's learning needs, pace, and academic goals
- Comprehensive Subject Coverage: Support students across foundational arithmetic, intermediate algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, vectors, data management, and beyond
- Engaging Virtual Instruction: Facilitate dynamic online sessions using Zoom, interactive whiteboards, and specialized graphing/math software to simplify complex concepts
- Progress Tracking: Create detailed session notes, track student progress, and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement
- Ontario Curriculum Alignment: Ensure instruction aligns with provincial curriculum standards while adapting to individual student needs
What We're Looking For
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Teaching Experience: Proven background in mathematics instruction or tutoring across multiple grade levels
- Ontario Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum strongly preferred
- On-Camera Presence: Energetic, engaging teaching style that keeps students motivated in a remote environment
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating online platforms, digital tools, and troubleshooting basic tech issues
- Reliability & Flexibility: Willingness to accommodate student schedules, including evenings and weekends
