Job Profile – IGCSE & IBDP English Teacher (Continuum School)
- Location - Worli, Mumbai
An IGCSE & IBDP English Teacher in an IB Continuum School is responsible for teaching English Language and Literature across Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), fostering critical thinking, communication, literary analysis, research, and global perspectives through inquiry-based learning. The role also involves curriculum planning, assessment design, student mentoring, and active participation in school academic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language & Literature for IGCSE and IBDP classes
- Plan engaging, inquiry-driven and student-centered lessons
- Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, and analytical skills
- Prepare students for coursework, internal assessments, extended essays, and board examinations
- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per Cambridge and IB standards
- Integrate interdisciplinary and global contexts into teaching
- Maintain student records, progress reports, and parent communication
- Support literary activities, debates, theatre, writing clubs, and enrichment programmes
- Collaborate with coordinators and faculty for curriculum alignment and academic planning

- Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in English Literature / English Language
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred

- IBDP English A: Language & Literature / Literature
