Role and Responsibilities:

The Closer is responsible for ensuring the gym is securely closed each night while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and staff.

• Perform all closing duties in accordance with Planet Fitness policies and procedures.
• Ensure all members have exited the club at closing time.
• Secure all doors, windows, and alarm systems.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
• Handle member inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Balance daily cash receipts and complete required paperwork.
• Restock supplies and prepare the club for the next day’s operations.
• Report and address any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with membership sign-ups, billing questions, and basic front desk tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety and security protocols to maintain a safe environment for staff and members.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Occasional handling of cleaning chemicals.
