Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-precision automotive components, is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Senior Quality Control Inspector to join their manufacturing facility in Burnaby, British Columbia, CA . This role is critical in ensuring that all manufactured products meet stringent quality standards and specifications. You will be responsible for performing detailed inspections, conducting tests, and identifying any deviations from quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality control methodologies, experience with various inspection tools and equipment, and a keen eye for detail. This position requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods. Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and testing equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges) to verify product specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and quality standards to ensure accurate compliance. Identify, document, and report non-conforming products and materials, initiating corrective action requests. Perform root cause analysis for quality defects and implement preventive measures. Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control procedures. Conduct regular quality audits of manufacturing lines and processes. Calibrate and maintain inspection and testing equipment to ensure accuracy. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans and procedures. Train and mentor junior quality control personnel. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. Maintain accurate records of inspection and testing activities. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Ensure compliance with industry-specific quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a relevant technical field is an asset. A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control inspection, preferably within the automotive manufacturing industry. Proficiency in using a wide range of mechanical inspection tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality management systems is highly desirable.
