Key Responsibilities:

Investigate insurance claims by gathering information, interviewing claimants and witnesses, and reviewing policy documents. Assess liability and damages, determining the extent of coverage provided by the policy. Negotiate settlements with policyholders and/or their representatives. Prepare detailed reports documenting claim investigations, findings, and recommendations. Manage a caseload of complex claims, ensuring adherence to timelines and company procedures. Maintain accurate and organized claim files. Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders throughout the claims process. Stay informed about changes in insurance laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Collaborate with legal counsel and other third parties as necessary. Contribute to the training and mentoring of junior claims adjusters.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an insurance claims adjuster, with a focus on complex claims. In-depth knowledge of various insurance policies (e.g., property, casualty, auto). Strong understanding of claims investigation techniques, legal principles, and negotiation strategies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Relevant insurance licenses (e.g., adjuster license) are required. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Experience with on-site property inspections and assessments is essential.
