Job Description

Our client, a prestigious luxury resort located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, US , is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Hotel Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across various departments. This leadership position requires a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of hotel management, including F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, optimizing operational efficiency, and leading a high-performing team in a demanding hospitality environment.

Responsibilities: Direct and manage all daily hotel operations to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Oversee departmental managers, providing leadership, guidance, and performance feedback. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance service quality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Monitor departmental budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability targets are met. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and standards. Manage the guest experience, promptly and effectively resolving any issues or complaints. Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue and occupancy. Oversee staffing levels, recruitment, training, and development of hotel personnel. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring quality of goods and services. Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures consistently. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in hospitality management. Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation are met. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in hotel operations management, with significant experience in a luxury or resort setting. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams. Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, P&L management, and cost control. Excellent understanding of hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Rooms Division. Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and other relevant technologies. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the hospitality industry. Must be eligible to work in the US and available to work on-site in Virginia Beach, Virginia, US .
