Responsibilities: Oversee all daily farm operations, including crop planning, planting, cultivation, irrigation, pest and disease management, and harvesting. Develop and implement strategic plans for farm productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Manage farm resources effectively, including labor, machinery, equipment, water, and inputs. Supervise and lead a team of farm workers, supervisors, and technical staff, providing guidance and performance management. Ensure adherence to best agricultural practices, including sustainable farming methods, soil conservation, and water management. Develop and manage annual farm budgets, controlling costs and optimizing resource utilization. Maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and efficiently utilized. Implement and monitor quality control measures throughout the production cycle. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national agricultural regulations and safety standards. Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers. Oversee inventory management for seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other farm supplies. Analyze farm performance data and implement improvements to enhance yields and profitability. Stay informed about the latest agricultural technologies, research findings, and market trends. Develop and implement effective pest and disease monitoring and control strategies. Manage irrigation systems and water resource allocation efficiently. Contribute to the development of new crop varieties and cultivation techniques. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all farm personnel. Coordinate with sales and marketing teams regarding crop production forecasts and market demands. Conduct regular farm inspections and audits. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Farm Management, Horticulture, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in farm operations management, with a strong track record of success. Demonstrated expertise in large-scale crop production, including planning, cultivation, and harvesting. In-depth knowledge of soil science, pest and disease management, irrigation, and fertilization. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L responsibility. Excellent understanding of agricultural machinery, equipment, and technology. Proficiency in farm management software and data analysis tools. Knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices and environmental regulations. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
