Senior Event Manager - Sports & Entertainment

Role Overview:

As a Senior Event Manager for our client, a prominent organizer of sports and entertainment events, you will play a crucial role in overseeing high-profile events in and around Thane, Maharashtra, IN. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth execution and success of events, right from the initial conceptualization to the post-event assessment. You will be in charge of managing all logistical aspects, maintaining vendor relations, handling budgeting tasks, and coordinating on-site activities to deliver outstanding experiences for attendees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive event plans to outline the execution strategy.
• Secure suitable venues for events that meet the required criteria.
• Negotiate contracts with various suppliers such as catering, AV, and security services.
• Manage event budgets efficiently to ensure financial success.
• Lead on-site event operations, troubleshoot issues promptly, and prioritize the safety and satisfaction of all participants.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in managing large-scale sports and entertainment events.
• Strong organizational, project management, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
• Deep understanding of event production, logistics, marketing, and risk management.
• Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and make swift, informed decisions.
