This role focuses on the integration and optimization of technology within the educational framework, enhancing teaching and learning experiences for both students and educators. You will play a pivotal role in researching, recommending, and implementing innovative educational technologies, platforms, and tools. This position requires a deep understanding of pedagogical principles and how technology can be leveraged to support them effectively.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, select, and implement new educational technologies and software solutions. Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to faculty and staff on the effective use of educational technologies. Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and best practice resources. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to educational platforms and applications. Collaborate with IT departments to ensure seamless integration of educational software with existing infrastructure. Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in educational technology. Design and deliver professional development workshops on topics such as blended learning, online course design, and digital pedagogy. Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the institution's technology roadmap. Analyze usage data to assess the effectiveness of implemented technologies and identify areas for improvement. Champion the adoption of innovative teaching and learning technologies across the institution. Develop and oversee projects related to the deployment and support of learning management systems (LMS) and other key educational platforms. Ensure accessibility compliance for all digital learning resources.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in educational technology support and implementation. Demonstrated expertise in learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle) and a strong understanding of instructional design principles are essential. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills are required. Proven ability to train and mentor others in the use of technology is crucial.
