Job Description

Our client, a reputable financial services firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join their Human Resources department in Mumbai, Maharashtra, IN . This pivotal role involves the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate a high-performing workforce. The successful candidate will possess a strong analytical aptitude, a deep understanding of compensation structures, benefits administration, and relevant labor laws. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure programs remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Administer and manage all aspects of the company's compensation programs, including salary structures, job evaluations, market pricing, and incentive plans. Develop and implement creative and competitive benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, and other employee perks. Conduct regular market research and analysis to benchmark compensation and benefits against industry standards and competitor offerings. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits (e.g., labor laws, tax regulations). Manage relationships with third-party vendors and brokers for benefits plans, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met. Oversee the annual open enrollment process for employee benefits, including communication, education, and enrollment support. Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and provide recommendations for improvement. Develop and deliver clear and concise communication materials to educate employees about their compensation and benefits packages. Assist in the development and administration of executive compensation programs. Partner with HR Business Partners and managers to provide guidance on compensation and benefits-related matters. Maintain accurate employee records related to compensation and benefits in the HRIS system. Support the HR team in other related initiatives, such as performance management and talent acquisition as needed. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. 5-7 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits administration. In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, and salary survey data. Comprehensive understanding of various employee benefits plans (health, retirement, voluntary benefits, etc.) and their administration. Familiarity with relevant labor laws and regulations impacting compensation and benefits. Proficiency in HRIS systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Professional certifications such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) are highly desirable.
