Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Agronomist to spearhead initiatives in sustainable agriculture and crop management. Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive agronomic plans for various crops, focusing on yield optimization and resource efficiency. Conduct field research and trials to evaluate new crop varieties, fertilizers, and pest control methods. Provide expert guidance on soil fertility management, irrigation techniques, and crop rotation strategies. Implement and monitor sustainable farming practices, including organic farming principles and integrated pest management. Analyze soil and plant tissue samples to diagnose issues and recommend corrective actions. Lead and mentor a team of agronomists and field technicians, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Develop and deliver training programs for farm staff on best agronomic practices. Monitor crop health and identify potential diseases or pest infestations, recommending timely and effective interventions. Manage relationships with research institutions, government agencies, and agricultural suppliers. Stay updated on the latest advancements in agricultural technology, biotechnology, and sustainable practices. Prepare detailed reports on crop performance, research findings, and operational recommendations. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and safety standards. Contribute to the development of long-term agricultural strategies for the company. Qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Science, or a closely related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in agronomy and crop management, with a focus on sustainable practices. Proven experience in leading agricultural research and development projects. In-depth knowledge of crop physiology, soil chemistry, and plant pathology. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective agronomic strategies for diverse crops. Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities. Proficiency in using agricultural software and data analysis tools. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly. Experience in managing field trials and experimental design.
