Our client, a prominent insurance provider, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to manage and resolve complex commercial insurance claims. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance policies, claims investigation, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional negotiation abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service while ensuring fair and timely claim settlements.

Responsibilities

Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate complex commercial property and casualty claims, ensuring compliance with policy terms and conditions. Conduct thorough investigations, including site visits, witness interviews, and evidence gathering. Determine liability and coverage, accurately assessing claim values and reserves. Negotiate settlements with policyholders, legal representatives, and other involved parties. Prepare detailed claim reports, documenting all findings, actions taken, and settlement recommendations. Manage a caseload of complex claims, ensuring timely progression and resolution. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant insurance laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Collaborate with legal counsel, underwriters, and other internal departments as needed. Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders throughout the claims process. Identify potential fraudulent claims and escalate to the SIU department.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in claims adjusting, with a significant focus on complex commercial lines. In-depth knowledge of various commercial insurance policies (e.g., General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto). Proven experience in claim investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement. Strong understanding of insurance regulations and legal principles. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a high volume of complex claims efficiently. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are highly desirable.
