Investigating complex insurance claims, including property damage, liability, and bodily injury, to determine coverage and liability. Conducting detailed reviews of policy documents to ensure accurate application of coverage. Interviewing claimants, witnesses, and relevant parties to gather essential information and evidence. Assessing and verifying damages, obtaining estimates, and managing repair or replacement processes. Negotiating settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders in a fair and efficient manner. Preparing comprehensive claim reports, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations for management. Managing a caseload of complex claims from initial notification to final resolution. Identifying potential subrogation or salvage opportunities. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date claim files and records in the company's claims management system. Providing exceptional customer service to policyholders throughout the claims process. Adhering to all relevant industry regulations and company policies. Collaborating with internal departments, such as legal and underwriting, as needed. Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in claims adjusting, with a proven track record of handling complex claims. In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, policy contracts, and claims investigation techniques. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in claims management software and standard office applications. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are highly desirable. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
