Key responsibilities include:

Investigating, evaluating, and negotiating a caseload of complex insurance claims. Determining coverage under various insurance policies and ensuring compliance with policy terms. Conducting thorough fact-finding through interviews, evidence collection, and expert consultations. Assessing damages and liabilities accurately to determine fair settlement amounts. Communicating effectively with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and legal counsel. Preparing detailed claim reports, settlement recommendations, and necessary documentation. Managing claim files from opening to closure, ensuring all actions are properly recorded. Adhering to company guidelines, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. Identifying potential fraud and escalating suspicious cases for further investigation. Contributing to the continuous improvement of claims handling processes and procedures. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field is typically required. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are highly desirable. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in claims adjusting, with a proven track record of managing complex claims across various lines of insurance (e.g., property, casualty, auto), is essential.
