Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement crop management plans to optimize yield and quality. Conduct field research and trials to evaluate new crop varieties, fertilizers, and pest control methods. Analyze soil samples, tissue samples, and environmental data to provide tailored recommendations. Advise farmers and agricultural professionals on best practices for sustainable farming. Monitor crop health, identify diseases and pests, and recommend appropriate control measures. Manage irrigation systems and provide recommendations for water conservation. Stay current with advancements in agronomy, agricultural technology, and environmental regulations. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and educational materials for stakeholders. Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners. Ensure compliance with all relevant agricultural and environmental standards. Qualifications:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural field. 7+ years of experience in agronomy, crop consulting, or agricultural research. In-depth knowledge of crop physiology, soil science, pest management, and nutrient management. Experience with field research methodologies and data analysis. Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture principles and practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a field-based environment. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the service area. Knowledge of precision agriculture technologies is a plus.
