Our client, a prominent player in the global energy market, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Petroleum Engineer to join their operations team based near Baltimore, Maryland . This role is integral to optimizing the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas reserves. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a data-driven approach, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence in a challenging field environment.

Responsibilities: Analyze geological and geophysical data to identify potential oil and gas reserves. Plan and oversee drilling operations, including well design, trajectory, and completion strategies. Develop and implement reservoir management plans to maximize hydrocarbon recovery. Conduct reservoir simulation and performance analysis to predict future production. Optimize production facilities and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. Monitor well performance and implement strategies for stimulation, workovers, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR). Evaluate the economic viability of exploration and development projects. Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations. Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and other engineering disciplines. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project proposals. Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in the oil and gas industry. Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Manage project timelines and budgets effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in petroleum engineering, with a focus on reservoir engineering, drilling engineering, or production engineering. Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Tempest) and production modeling tools. Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid flow in porous media, and wellbore hydraulics. Experience with drilling operations, well completion design, and workover procedures. Knowledge of EOR techniques and production optimization strategies. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in oil and gas exploration and production. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to travel to field locations as required.
