A leading manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to oversee production activities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, lean principles, and team leadership. You will be responsible for managing production schedules, supervising a team of manufacturing personnel, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production teams to meet output targets and quality standards. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, environmental policies, and operational procedures on the manufacturing floor. Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and throughput. Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of production staff, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability. Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to optimize production flow. Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet stringent quality specifications. Implement and champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain production records, including output data, downtime, and waste logs. Participate in production planning meetings and contribute to the development of production schedules. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions promptly. Ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of all production machinery and equipment. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control systems. Experience with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma) is highly desirable. Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities. Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP software. Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for clear interaction with staff and management. Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to production demands. This hands-on role is based in Nagpur, Maharashtra, IN , and requires a strong presence on the factory floor.
