Responsibilities

Lead the discovery and development of new drug candidates from target identification through lead optimization. Design and implement innovative R&D strategies and experimental protocols in areas such as medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, or biochemistry. Manage and mentor a team of research scientists, providing scientific guidance and fostering a collaborative research environment. Oversee in vitro and in vivo studies to assess drug efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic properties. Analyze complex biological and chemical data, interpret results, and make data-driven decisions for project progression. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing. Prepare high-quality research reports, scientific publications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Manage research budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources. Stay current with the latest scientific advancements, technologies, and trends in pharmaceutical research and drug discovery. Qualifications

Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science discipline. A minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral research experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a strong track record of drug discovery achievements. Proven experience in leading research projects and managing scientific teams. Expertise in drug discovery processes, including target validation, hit-to-lead, and lead optimization. Strong understanding of disease biology relevant to therapeutic areas of interest. Experience with relevant analytical techniques and instrumentation (e.g., HTS, LC-MS, NMR, in vivo models). Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and data analysis skills. Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
